"By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest."

💛 Welcome to a world where growth knows no limits and wisdom has no boundaries!
The WORLD is the totality of entities, the whole of reality or everything that is. The nature of the world has been conceptualized differently in different fields. Some conceptions see the world as unique, while others talk of a "plurality of worlds". Some treat the world as one simple object, while others analyze the world as a complex made up of parts.
WISDOM, sapience, or sagacity is the ability to contemplate and act productively using knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense and insight. Wisdom is associated with attributes such as unbiased judgment, compassion, experiential self-knowledge, self-transcendence, non-attachment, and virtues such as ethics and benevolence.
A WELL is an excavation or structure created in the ground by digging or drilling to access liquid resources, usually water ... in the use of this website, it is a metaphor for drilling down into wisdom.

HAPPINESS is a positive and pleasant emotion ranging from contentment to intense joy. Moments of happiness may be triggered by positive life experiences or thoughts, but sometimes it may arise from no obvious cause. The level of happiness for longer periods of time is more strongly correlated with levels of life satisfaction, subjective well-being, flourishing and eudamonia.
WELL-BEING, or wellbeing, also known as wellness, prudential value, prosperity or quality of life refers to what is intrinsically valuable relative to someone. So the well-being of a person is what is ultimately good for this person, what is in the self-interest of this person. Well-being can refer to both positive and negative well-being. In its positive sense, it is sometimes contrasted with ill-being as its opposite. The term "subjective well-being" denotes how people experience and evaluate their lives, usually measured in relation to self-reported well-being obtained through questionnaires.
To reach our goal of #10billionhappyby2050 we have estimated that 25 million changemakers, including educators, health professionals, business leaders and government officials must positively impact 400 people each in their lifetime.
The further humanity goes through the industrial and digital (r)evolution, the more obvious their limitations become. We are witnessing unprecedented inequalities, a decrease in mental and physical health, reduced happiness, and an increase in systemic violence over natural resources. In such critical times, a need for a more just society, happier and more conscious living, and a healthy planet is emerging.
The World Happiness Foundation’s purpose is to realize such a world with freedom, consciousness, and happiness, FOR ALL.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
Centered on the worker’s voice and equity, these Five Essentials support workplaces as engines of well-being. Each essential is grounded in two human needs, shared across industries and roles. Creating a plan to enact these practices can help strengthen the essentials of workplace well‑being.
Dr. Vivek H. Murthy was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in March 2021 to serve as the 21st Surgeon General of the United States. As the Nation's Doctor, the Surgeon General's mission is to help lay the foundation for a healthier country, relying on the best scientific information available to provide clear, consistent, and equitable guidance and resources for the public.
Wellbeing is not limited to objective indicators such as GDP or income. Individuals’ subjective experiences and their own sense of how well they live life also matter, including in policymaking. What are the components of a good life that reflect the diverse experiences of individuals around the world?
What we know about the components of a good life is limited, and research has focused on only a few dimensions of happiness. To fill this gap, Gallup partnered with the Wellbeing for Planet Earth Foundation to reimagine wellbeing and happiness by adopting a “harmonic” view of wellbeing and measuring historically overlooked concepts like balance and harmony.
Download the report to learn about the global population’s experiences related to balance, harmony, inner peace and contentment in life, as well as how our data drive the case for centering the experiences of individuals in policymaking.
We derive our ideas from psychology, psychotherapy, philosophy, art and culture. As our name – The School of Life – suggests, we are here to teach people how life can be lived and what can make it truly worthwhile, effective and fulfilling.
Prepared by Centre for Thriving Places Written by Liz Zeidler with significant input and support from with support from Carnegie UK.
This focuses on diverse support available at local level in the UK, exploring well-being models, dashboards and indices to outline how we can come together to rewire the economy to crack the many social and environmental crises of our time. The culmination of numerous conversations over many years, between organisations working to grow a wellbeing economy, and local government, business and community leaders.
These theme buckets make sense of a lot of complexity, nuance and opportunity for policy and action, in support of well-being.
... where people are mindful of their connections with all others and our planet.
The Thich Nhat Hanh Center for Mindfulness in Public Health aims to:
1. Pursue evidence-based approaches to improving health and wellbeing through mindfulness by undertaking rigorous, scientific inquiry; and,
2. Provide mindfulness education and training for the Harvard community and beyond.
By pursuing these dual tracks of academic research and public engagement, we aim to improve public health and inspire global action.
The mission of Action for Happiness is to help people create a happier world, with a culture that prioritises happiness and kindness.
We do this by helping people get together regularly (face-to-face where possible) to learn evidence-based skills for happier living, feel a sense of belonging and commit to personal action to create more happiness, both for themselves and others.
We have no religious, political or commercial affiliations and welcome people of all faiths (or none) and all parts of society. Members of the movement make a simple pledge: to try to create more happiness in the world.
Our website, app and print editions cover international news from a scientific standpoint, and ask the big-picture questions about life, the universe and what it means to be human. If someone in the world has a good idea, you will read about it in New Scientist.
Since the magazine was founded in 1956 for “all those interested in scientific discovery and its social consequences”, it has expanded to include newsletters, videos, podcasts, courses and live events in the UK, US and Australia, including New Scientist Live, the world’s greatest festival of science. New Scientist is based in London and New York, with operations elsewhere in the UK, the US and Australia.
In 2001, there was a need for a science website that was dedicated strictly to neuroscience research news, so NeuroscienceNews.com was started. To this day, the site is an independent science news website focusing mainly on neuroscience and other cognitive sciences.
Neuroscience News is an online science magazine offering free to read research articles about neuroscience, neurology, psychology, artificial intelligence, neurotechnology, robotics, deep learning, neurosurgery, mental health and more.
TED is on a mission to discover and spread ideas that spark imagination, embrace possibility and catalyze impact. Our organization is devoted to curiosity, reason, wonder and the pursuit of knowledge — without an agenda. We welcome people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world and connection with others, and we invite everyone to engage with ideas and activate them in your community.
At the Mind & Life Institute, we bring science and contemplative wisdom together to better understand the mind and create positive change in the world. At this critical moment in history, it’s clear that efforts to address mounting global challenges must take into account our inner lives, and how individual well-being contributes to collective flourishing.
“Rely not on the teacher/person, but on the teaching. Rely not on the words of the teaching, but on the spirit of the words. Rely not on theory, but on experience. Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. Do not believe anything because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything because it is written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and the benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”
~ The Buddha, Kalama Sutra
